Up 2-0 and momentum firmly in their favor, the T-Birds never trailed in the third set and methodically wore down Dodge City to complete the sweep with a 25-18 win. Dodge City fought back to within two points at 16-14, but failed to inch any closer as the T-Birds were able to maintain a 4-5 point lead en route to a 25-20 win, capped off by one of 10 kills on the evening by freshman Katelyn Ruth. The duo was epsecially lethal in the second set as they combined for nine kills, helping the T-Birds out to an early 9-7 lead. Mann and Bat tied for the team-high in kills with 11.
That did little to slow down Cloud County as redshirt freshman Drew Mann powered down two of her 11 kills, and added a solo block, to account for three of her team's six points during its 6-1 blitz to finish off the first set.
